The Saint Vincent College men's tennis team opened up PAC play with a convincing 7-2 win over Waynesburg at the Greensburg Racquet Club.  The Bearcats are now 2-0 overall on the year.
                 
Saint Vincent finished doubles play with a 2-1 lead.  The second doubles team of 
Scott Reichard and 
Vince Anto cruised to victory 8-1 while 
Patrick Hiles and 
Dalton Yezovich won a tight 9-7 match at third doubles.
                 
Sean Malone and 
Chris Andrejcik lost 8-5 to Waynesburg's Isiah Cochren and Tim Harris at first doubles, but the Bearcat duo reversed their fortunes in singles.  Malone bested Cochren 6-2, 6-4 while Andrejcik downed Harris 6-0, 6-1.
                 
Saint Vincent took five of the six singles points in the match.  Anto and Yezovich, playing fourth and fifth singles respectively, were the only Bearcats to win both their singles and their doubles matches.
                 
For the second match in a row, freshman 
Patrick McGee turned in a strong performance at sixth singles, rolling to a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
                 
Saint Vincent's next match is against conference foe Westminster at the Greensburg Racquet Club at 12:30PM on Monday, March 24.
