BOX SCORE
The Saint Vincent College men's tennis team bounced back from its first defeat of the season by winning their second 5-4 match of the year over Pitt-Greensburg at the Greensburg Racquet Club. Â
                Â
The beginning of the match continued a troubling trend for Saint Vincent. The Bobcats won 2 out of the 3 doubles points, with
Patrick McGee and
Dalton Yezovich winning 9-7 at third doubles to capture the Bearcats' lone doubles victory. McGee and Yezovich trailed 7-6 in their match before taking the final three games.
                Â
Chris Andrejcik and McGee won easily at second and sixth singles while UPG earned points at third and fifth singles. McGee has now won all six matches he has played this year (4 in singles, 2 in doubles).
                Â
Sean Malone played poorly and lost the first set, but he accomplished a dramatic turnaround and captured the second set 6-0. Malone then beat Tomas Monti 10-7 in a third set tiebreaker to even the match at 4-4.
                Â
Vince Anto and UPG's Matt Kimmel played long and grueling points at fourth singles; however, Anto was the more consistent player and came away with the 6-4, 6-2 victory. Anto's win clinched the Bearcats second 5-4 win of the year.
                Â
In exhibition singles,
Patrick Hiles beat Tommy Boyer 8-6.
