Bearcats roll to conference win over Bethany

The Saint Vincent College men's tennis team won its second match in a row by beating the Bethany Bison 8-1 at the Greensburg Racquet Club. 

With the win, Saint Vincent improved to 4-1 on the year and 2-1 in PAC play.
                 
The Bearcats captured all three doubles points.  Sean Malone and Chris Andrejcik won 8-2 at first doubles while Scott Reichard and Vince Anto clinched an 8-3 victory at second doubles.  At third doubles, Dalton Yezovich and Patrick McGee improved to 3-0 on the year when they beat their opponents 8-2.
                 
Saint Vincent also played well in singles, winning five of the six positions.  Malone did not drop serve on his way to a 6-2, 6-3 victory.  Andrejcik won a close and entertaining match with Bethany's Jimbo Peterson by taking the second set in a tiebreak.
                 
At the bottom of the lineup, McGee continued to roll over his opponents, losing only 3 games.  Yezovich won in straight sets as well, 6-4, 7-5.
                 
Anto emerged victorious as well in his closest match of the year.  He lost the first set to Kyle Booker in a tiebreak but managed to win the second set 6-3.  The third set was decided by a 10 points tiebreaker which Anto won as well to improve his singles record to 5-0.
                 
Saint Vincent plays Washington & Jefferson in its next match on Wednesday at 1pm at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
