The Saint Vincent Bearcats lost a 7-1 decision to Muhlenberg College in Clermont, FL in the first half of a split doubleheader, then earned a 2-1 extra inning win over Immaculata in the second game.

Shannon Baczek hit a walk-off single in the 8th inning of game two, in support of Laken Lyon, who tossed a five-hitter for the win.

The day started with a loss to Muhlenberg at Hancock Park.

SVC scored in the top of the first, when Lindsey Daniels walked and was later driven home by a Breanne Wallace single.

However, the Mules came back with five runs in the bottom of the first and added two more in the second of SVC starter Cassidy Uscilowski.

Kelley Sedlock then came out of the bullpen for the Bearcats and pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings of relief.

SVC threatened in the sixth inning with the bases loaded but was unable to score.

Under the lights against Immaculata, Daniels again started the game by getting on base, this time with a single.  Emert moved her to second with a bunt, then she later scored on a throwing error by the IU shortstop.

Lyon came out strong in the circle, striking out two in the opening inning, but was tagged for a triple and single in the bottom of the third, tying the game, 1-1.

Lyon and Immaculata's Meghan Kugler then locked into a pitching duel, with neither team able to score through 7 innings.

In the top of the 8th, using international softball rules, a runner was placed at second to start the inning.  The Mighty Macs runner attempted to steal third and was caught stealing by SVC's Breanne Wallace.

Alie Reid was then placed on second to start the bottom of the 8th for SVC, and promptly was moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Becky Deane.  Baczek then singled up the middle to win the game for Saint Vincent.

Lyon went the distance, walking three and striking out five.

The Bearcats end the Spring Break trip with a record of 5-3.
