BOX SCOREby Brian Niemiec, Sports Information Student AssistantThe Saint Vincent men's tennis team took on the Thiel Tomcats for a midday Presidents' Athletic Conference match at the Greensburg Racquet Club, emerging with a 9-0 victory.
All three of Saint Vincent's doubles pairings won by identical 8-0 scores. The first doubles pairing of
Chris Andrejcik and
Vince Anto used hard serves and a slew of winners to beat their opponents. At second doubles,
Scott Reichard and
Tyler Brinton utilized their lob shots as they kept their challengers on the run. Third doubles saw
Dalton Yezovich and Pat McGee extend their undefeated doubles record to 7-0 as they claimed the third point of the match for the Bearcats.

Andrejcik got the ball rolling for Saint Vincent in singles play sweeping his opponent in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, behind a flurry of volleys and smash points. McGee clinched the match for the Bearcats with a barrage of aces on the way to a straight sets win at sixth singles 6-0, 6-0.
Vince Anto and
Tyler Brinton each won 6-1, 6-1 at second and fourth singles, respectively.
Dalton Yezovich won the fifth singles point 6-0, 6-1 and to complete the sweep of the Tomcats,
Scott Reichard won 6-3, 6-1.

The Bearcats are now 2-2 and 1-1 in PAC play. Saint Vincent will be back in action Wednesday (April 1) as they travel to Waynesburg for a PAC matchup against the Yellow Jackets before Easter break.
