The Saint Vincent Men's tennis team came away with a 5-4 win against the undermanned Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in Presidents' Athletic Conference play at the Greensburg Racquet Club.

Saint Vincent started the match up by a 3-0 margin as the Yellow Jackets failed to field players at third doubles along with fifth and sixth singles.

In doubles play, the Bearcats' top pairing of Jonathan Prichard and Ryan Hartz came away with an 8-3 victory to put the Bearcats up 4-0 in the match. Waynesburg struck back to take the second doubles matchup and put the match score at (4-1) in favor of Saint Vincent.

Prichard, the reigning PAC Player of the Week, kept up his winning ways and clinched the match for Saint Vincent with a straight sets victory at first singles, 7-6 (2) and 6-1.

The win puts Saint Vincent at 3-2 overall and 3-0 in the PAC on the year.

The Bearcats will be back in action for a non-conference night match against Pitt-Greensburg on Tuesday, March 29 at the Greensburg Racquet Club. Start time is set for 8 p.m.
