The Saint Vincent men's tennis team was back in action for a non-conference matchup with crosstown rival Pitt-Greensburg, and came away with a 6-3 win after a tightly contested match.

The Bearcats got the match started with three wins in doubles play to take a 3-0 lead. The third pairing of Patrick McGee and
Dalton Yezovich got the match underway quickly with an 8-2 win. Shortly thereafter,
Jonathan Prichard and
Ryan Hartz finished off the Bobcats' top pairing, 8-4.
Tyler Brinton, teamed with
Scott Reichard, joined the Bearcats for his first match of the year and came away with an 8-6 victory in #2 doubles.

Yezovich claimed the first singles point of the match at the fifth position, 6-3, 6-0, to put the Bearcats up 4-0.  After dropping the third, fourth and sixth singles points the Bearcats clinched the match after Hartz won in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6 (2). Prichard put the icing on the cake for the Bearcats with a 6-7(5), 7-5, 10-7 win at the top spot.

The win extends Saint Vincent's winning streak to four and puts the Bearcats at 4-2 overall on the year. The Bearcats will be back in action Friday, April 1Â for a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup Washington and Jefferson at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
