The Saint Vincent men's tennis team stayed undefeated in Presidents' Athletic Conference action, defeating the Washington & Jefferson Presidents by a score of 7-2.

The Bearcats opened the match with an 8-2 win by the third doubles pairing of
Pat McGee and
Dalton Yezovich. The Presidents answered back by taking the second doubles point, but Saint Vincent regained the lead going into singles play after a hard fought 8-6 win at first doubles by
Jonathan Prichard and
Ryan Hartz.

Prichard started off singles play started in commanding fashion with a straight sets 6-0,6-0 win. Hartz pushed the Bearcats closer to victory with a 6-3, 6-4 win at second singles. Saint Vincent clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win by Yezovich at sixth singles. The Bearcats also got wins at the fourth and fifth singles positions.

The win puts Saint Vincent at 5-2 (4-0 PAC) on the year and extends its win streak to five. The Bearcats will be back in action Saturday, April 2 as they travel to Cincinnati for a non-conference match against Mount Saint Joseph.Â
