The Saint Vincent men's tennis team kept up its winning ways and rolled to a 7-2 non-conference victory over Penn State Altoona. The win was the ninth straight for the Bearcats.
Doubles play saw Saint Vincent's top pairing on Jonathan Prichard and Ryan Hartz start the match off with an 8-4 victory. The Bearcats then claimed the second and third doubles points, both by the score of 8-5, to sweep the doubles matches.
Prichard started singles play with a straight sets win, 6-0 and 6-0 at first singles. Hartz clinched the match for Saint Vincent with a 6-4 and 6-3 victory at second singles. The Bearcats would also add wins Tyler Brinton at third singles and Zach Fox at fourth singles.
The win improved Saint Vincent to 9-2 overall for the year. The Bearcats will be back in action Thursday, April 14, when they travel to Grove City College for a matchup with perennial Presidents' Athletic Conference Champions. Start time is set for 3:30 p.m.
