Bearcats drop road contest in Greenville, 13-3


The Bearcats dropped a 13-3 contest on the road at Thiel College in Greenville in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.

SVC scored twice in the top of the first, as TJ Kuny singled to left and moved to second when Dylan Kugler reached on an error.  Both runners then scored on a double by Ben Webb.

Freshman Justin Bakewell (0-1) got the nod on the hill for SVC and found himself in trouble in the second inning, as Thiel tallied 7 runs in the inning.  The hosts added five more in the third, extending the lead to 12-2.

Saint Vincent's third run came on a double by Luke Fox in the fifth that scored Kuny, who had walked.  

Nick LaCava worked three scoreless relief innings for Saint Vincent.

With the loss, SVC is now 12-11 overall on the season, 5-5 in the PAC.
