The Saint Vincent men's tennis team wrapped up its Presidents' Athletic Conference schedule by dropping a tightly contested match against the Bethany Bison by a score of 5-4.

In doubles play, the Bison struck first, capturing the second and third doubles points. Saint Vincent got on the board with a 9-7 come-from-behind win by
Jonathan Prichard and
Ryan Hartz at first doubles.

The Bearcats took the first two points in singles play to go up 3-2 in the match. The first win for Saint Vincent was at first singles by Prichard, 6-4, 6-1. Shortly after Prichard came off the court,
Tyler Brinton claimed the fourth singles point, 6-0, 6-0. Bethany reclaimed the lead by taking the fifth and sixth singles points. Hartz drew the match even for the Bearcats with a 7-5, 2-6, 10-3 victory at second doubles. Saint Vincent dropped the final point of the match in a three-set marathon at third singles.

The loss is the second in a row for the Bearcats and puts their record at 9-4 overall and 6-2 in PAC play. Saint Vincent will play their final regular season match on Friday, April 22 on the road against Mt. Aloysius.Â
