The Saint Vincent men's tennis team opened Presidents' Athletic Conference play with a 9-0 victory over the visiting Thiel Tomcats.
The Bearcats rolled through doubles play claiming all three points. The number two pairing of
Zach Fox and
Jon Oskin headlined the Saint Vincent trio by not dropping a game in an 8-0 victory.
Singles play got under way with a 6-0, 6-1 win by
Ryan Hartz at fourth singles. Hartz's first set was one for the books, as he didn't drop a single point for a rare golden set. Fox clinched the match for Saint Vincent with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fifth singles. The Bearcats claimed all six of the singles points in straight sets.
With the win Saint Vincent is now 4-2 overall and 1-0 in PAC play. The Bearcats will return to action March 29, as they travel to Washington & Jefferson to take on the Presidents.
