The Saint Vincent Bearcat swimming teams' Senior Day featured an exciting showdown with Penn State-Behrend.
The women were triumphant over Behrend with a final score was 146-107. The men would fall after a closely contested meet; the final score was 140-122.

The women's 200 Medley Relay began the meet with a bang, as the quartet of
Maddie Bartrug,
Claire Kenna,
Lauren Krecota, and
Samantha Mears claimed victory with a time of 1:56.70.

In the 100 Back,
Ciara Lewis would take the top spot, clocking in at 1:03.83.
Carly Grove built on this success, winning the 100 Breast. Â Her time was a 1:12.83.
Marion D'Aurora won the 200 Fly, followed by
Jill Cline, who finished in second place. Â Their times were 2:25.04 and 2:35.89, respectively.

Bartrug won the 50 Free with a notable 25.28, and Lewis finished close behind her in second with a 25.66. In the 100 Free, Lewis won again with a time of 56.51, while Mears finished second in the event, clocking in at 57.23.

Grove claimed her second victory, this time in the 200 Breast, finishing with a strong 2:36.78. D'Aurora also claimed her second victory in the 500 Free with a dominant 5:30.87.

In the 100 Fly, a trio of Bearcat women were successful. In first place was Bartrug, whose time was a fast 1:01.14. Not far behind in second place was
Lauren Krecota, with a time of 1:03.50. In third place was
Nicolette Smith, who touched the wall at 1:08.81.

D'Aurora and Grove carried this momentum into the 200 IM. D'Aurora finished first, clocking in at 2:23.49, while Grove finished second with a time of 2:27.48. Â Bartrug, Krecota, Kenna, and Lewis would converge on the Women's 200 Free Relay, and their victory at 1:43.69 sealed the meet for the Bearcats.

The men began the meet equally strong, as
Jacob Davis,
Michael Marinchak,
Zach Baum, and
John Martin were victorious in the 200 Medley Relay, finishing with a 1:37.80.

After losing several close events, Baum claimed the first victory for the men's team in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:01.86. Davis continued this momentum by winning the 50 Free with a spectacular 21.14 finish.

In the 100 Free,
Danny Whirlow was victorious as he finished with a time of 49.90.

Later in the meet, Baum claimed the top spot again, this time in the 100 Fly. He touched the wall at 51.64.
Andrew Rectenwald came in third with a time of 56.81.

The 200 IM would see Davis return to his winning ways, clocking in at 1:58.35. J. Martin secured third place with a time of 2:05.34, and Marinchak's fourth place finish at 2:07.39 closed the point gap, bringing it down to the last relay. However, the quartet of Baum,
Ethan Yant, Whirlow, and Davis were out-touched, finishing in second place with a time of 1:29.39.

The Bearcat Swim teams' next meet of the season will take place on February 13-16, at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship meet hosted by Grove City College.
