GROVE CITY, Pa. (Feb. 21)- The Saint Vincent women's swimming team finished in second place at the Presidents Athletic Conference Championships.
In the 1650-yard freestyle,
Rachel Hutchinson finished in second place with a time of 18:13.14 for the Bearcats.
Fallyn Zembiec followed with a fourth place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming a time of 2:12.63.
Adrianna Grimm and
Cecilia Hickin went six and seven respectively in the 100-yard freestyle. Grimm swam a time of 54.67, while Hickin raced a time of 56.26 for the Bearcats.
Teresa Grimm followed with a podium finish (sixth place) in the 200-yard breaststroke, while
Valerie Clabaugh finished in eighth in a time of 2:48.15.
Emma Martz concluded the individual events with a time of 2:19.25 and a fifth place finish for Saint Vincent in the 200-yard butterfly.
Additionally,
Sydney Burton was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team.
The Bearcats 400-yard freestyle relay team consisting of
Teresa Grimm,
Ava Sutter, Hickin, and
Adrianna Grimm placed second in a time of 3:43.67 to conclude the championships.
