GROVE CITY, Pa. (Feb. 19)- The Saint Vincent women's swimming team sits in second place after two days at the Presidents Athletic Conference Swimming Championships.
Rachel Hutchinson highlighted night two for the Bearcats, picking up a win in the 500-yard freestyle. Hutchinson sam a wining time of 5:13.25 to win the event for SVC and add to her already impressive PAC Championship career resume.
In the 200-yard IM,
Teresa Grimm (fifth) and
Emma Martz (seventh) recorded podium finishes for SVC. Grimm swam a time of 2:16.50, while Martz recorded a time of 2:20.45 for SVC.
In the 50-yard freestyle
Adrianna Grimm finished fifth for Saint Vincent in a time of 25.01, while
Cecilia Hickin placed eighth with a time of 25.70 for SVC.
The Bearcats 400-yard medley relay team consisting of
Adrianna Grimm,
Teresa Grimm, Martz, and Hickin raced to a second place finish in a time of 4:10.23
On the opening night on Wednesday, the same Saint Vincent team that competed in the 400-medley relay placed second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:51.44. The team of
Fallyn Zembiec, Hutchinson, Martz, and
Brook McDermott placed third in the 800-yard freestyle relay in a time of 8:24.71.
Day three of the PAC Championships will begin tomorrow, Friday, Februay 20 with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. and the finals starting at 5:30 p.m. at Grove City College.
