GREENSBURG, Pa (Oct. 8)- The Saint Vincent men's tennis team traveled to Pitt-Greensburg for their first game action of the fall season. The Bearcats won the match 9-0, shutting out the Bobcats.

In doubles play the Bearcats won all three matches. In the No. 1 spot,
Brian Lee and
Sam Butler won by a score of 8-5.
Mauricio Sanchez and
Evan Ray secured a shutout in the No. 2 doubles position, picking up an 8-0 win.
Jack Citrone and
Brennen Novotney picked up a forfeit win, giving the Bearcats the 3-0 lead headed into singles play.

In No.1 singles, Sanchez recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win. Butler secured a comfortable 6-2, 6-2 win in No. 2 singles as well. Citrone clinched the match for Saint Vincent in No. 3 singles, just as he did five times last season, winning by scores of 6-1, 6-1. Ray also won by a scores of 6-1, 6-1, Novotney added a 6-3, 6-4 win in No. 5 singles, and Lee picked up the forfeit win in No. 6 singles.

The Bearcats had their previous four fall matches either postponed or canceled due to weather.
