LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 29) – Led by individual medalist
Brevin Urso, the Saint Vincent men's golf team placed first at the 2022 SVC Fall Invitational at historic Latrobe Country Club.
Urso topped the 34-man field with a four-over 76 to lead a contingent of four Saint Vincent players who finished in the top-five. As a team, Saint Vincent's Gold squad turned in a four-man total of 323 to outdistance second-place Grove City by 16 shots.

Urso's round included eight pars and three birdies, as he turned in front nine total of 39 and a one-over 37 on the back. He was particularly strong on the course's Par 4 holes, on which he averaged a tournament-best 4.10 strokes.
Colten McCutcheon was SVC's No. 2 finisher, tying for third-place with a nine-over 81. McCutcheon led the field with an average of just 2.75 strokes on the course's four Par 3s, while his round consisted of nine pars and a birdie.
Tying for fifth place with rounds of 83 were
Brendan Cooley (41-42) and
Colt Easterling (40-43), with Cooley parring nine holes and Easterling eight.
Anthony Rendulich rounded out the SVC Gold squad competitors with a round of 88 to tie for 13th.
Alex Leskovansky paced the Saint Vincent Green team with a round of 85, tying for eighth place. The rookie turned in a round with eight pars and one birdie.
Luke Sell was the Green squad's No. 2 finisher, carding 90 to tie for 16
th, while
Owen Miele shot 92 and
Alex Jones 93.
Competing as individuals,
Colin Rider placed 22nd with a 93,
Brendan Thiele 27th at 96 and
Logan Connelly 30th with a round of 97.
Grove City College placed second in the team standings with a four-man total of 339, led by tournament runner-up Anthony Tambellini's round of 79. Waynesburg totaled 353 to place third, the SVC Green squad 360 to take fourth and Geneva 362 to place fifth.
Saint Vincent will now set its sights on the opening two rounds of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship on Wednesday, Oct. 12, and Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Avalon Lakes Golf Club in Warren, Ohio.
