TRAFFORD, Pa. (Jan. 13)- Saint Vincent men's basketball freshman guard
Terek Crosby was named the Presidents Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week for the week of January 6.
Â
Crosby (West Newton, Pa./ Yough) earns the award for the first time with Saint Vincent after putting together the best week of his freshman campaign. He averaged 14 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, while also dishing out two assists and picking up a steal as well over the course of the Bearcats 2-0 week.
Â
The freshman guard was an efficient 10-15 from the field, including going 6-8 (75%) from beyond the arc.
Â
In Saint Vincent's 112-81 win against Bethany, Crosby was 5-for-8 from the field and 2-for-3 from the arc, scoring 14 points, grabbing four rebounds, dishing out two assists, and picking up a steal as well.
Â
Crosby followed that performance up with another 14-point performance in the Bearcats 91-75 win against Allegheny on Saturday. In that win, he shot an impressive 5-7 from the field, including 4-for-5 from the three-point arc.
Â
The Bearcats and Crosby will return to action on Wednesday, January 15, playing host to Chatham in a big PAC matchup. Tip-off against the Cougars in the Robert S. Carey Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
