TRAFFORD, Pa. (Jan. 21)- A pair of Saint Vincent College freshmen earned the Presidents Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week award for the week of January 13 in their respective sports.
 
Freshman track and field runner Grace Neubert earned the Newcomer of the Week award in track and field, while Anthony Orlandini earned the award in wrestling for the Bearcats.
 
Neubert opened up the Bearcats 2025 portion of the schedule with an impressive performance at the Youngstown State Collegiate Invitational this past weekend.
 
The freshman runner broke the Saint Vincent school record in the 5K event, racing a time of 17:56.58 for the Bearcats. Her record-breaking time was also good enough to win the event in the nine-runner field, which included six scholarship runners, and is also ranked 43^rd in all of Division III this season.
 
Orlandini earns the award for the second time in his young Bearcats career, previously winning it in December.
 
The freshman added to his already impressive freshman season in the Bearcats' PAC win at Waynesburg last Thursday night.
 
Orlandini picked up an 18-3 technical fall victory at the 1:29 mark of the first period to help the Bearcats secure the win on the road in the 149 lbs. weight class.
 
Neubert and the track and field team return to action this Saturday, January 25 with a trip to Geneva, Ohio to compete in the SPIRE Midwest Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
 
Orlandini and the Bearcats return to action on Thursday, January 23 as Saint Vincent hosts Hiram in a PAC matchup. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday night in the Robert S. Carey Center.
