TRAFFORD, Pa. (Nov. 20)- Seven Saint Vincent football players earned Presidents Athletic Conference All-Conference honors announced by the conference's video show tonight.
Headling the All-Conference teams was
Chris Downs, who was named First Team All-PAC. Additionally,
Tristan Doy,
Jake Phillips,
Julian Walker,
Nathan Parker,
Robbie Labuda, and
Keegan O'Brien all were named to the All-PAC Honorable Mention team. O'Brien was named an Honorable Mention on both offense and defense for the Bearcats.
Downs was one of the top wide receivers in all of Division-III this season. The junior caught 68 passes for for 1,205 yards, while also grabbing 17 touchdowns as well. All three of those stats were among the tops in the entire country. Downs recorded 100-plus receiving yards in seven of Saint Vincent's ten games this season, while catching touchdowns in eight different games.
Doy had a solid season for the Saint Vincent offense as well. He caught 36 passes for 427 yards and three touchdowns as well. Doy recorded 50-plus receiving yards in four different games, while catching his three touchdowns in three separate games over the course of the season.
Phillips was one of the top quarterbacks in the PAC during his first season as Saint Vincent. The sophomore quarterback completed 192 passes for over 2,500 yards. He also threw 23 touchdowns during the season, while also passing for over 250 yards per game.
Walker was strong for Saint Vincent out of the backfield. He finished the season as SVC's leading rusher, rushing 98 times for 564 yards and four touchdowns.He rushed for four touchdowns, while also catching one touchdown pass as well.
O'Brien put together a solid season on both sides of the ball for SVC. Offensively, he caught 28 passes for 343 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, he totaled 68 tackles, including 37 solo tackles and three tackles for loss. O'Brien also picked off one pass and recorded two pass breakups during the season as well.
Parker led the Bearcats in tackles from the linebacker position. The sophomore recorded 92 total tackles, including 46 solo tackles, eight tackles for loss, including 2.5 sacks. He also forced one fumble, scooped up one fumble recovery and recorded three pass breakups.
At corner back, Labuda led the Bearcats secondary. He recorded 91 total tackles, including 56 solo tackles, while also picking off three passes and recorded four pass breakups.
Additionally, Anthony Capozzolli was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team.
