GREENWOOD, Ind. (Dec. 17)- Three Saint Vincent women's volleyball players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
Sophomores
Meegan Williams and
Dakota Hershberger, along with senior
Sani Jones all earned the award for the Bearcats.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and must be a standout on the field, competing in at least 90 percent of their team's games and starting at least 66 percent of their team's games.
Williams had another impressive season for the Bearcats during her sophomore year. She led Saint Vincent, while also recording a team-high 305 digs. Williams also totaled 26 assists and a .159 hitting percentage, while also adding a team-best 27 service aces during Saint Vincent's season as well. The sophomore outside hitter was named Second Team All-PAC as well.
Hershberger also had a solid season for SVC. The sophomore outside hitter played in 24 matches for SVC, recording 269 digs (3.16 D/S), 235 kills (2.35 K/S), while adding 30 blocks and 24 assists. Hershberger recorded a .167 hitting percentage during the season for the Bearcats as well.
Jones concluded her Bearcats career on a strong note. She was named the PAC Sportsmanship Team, while she recorded 104 digs (1.28 D/S), 310 assists (3.83 A/S), and totaled nine blocks, 12 service aces, and 10 kills during the season as well.
