GREENWOOD, Ind. (Apr. 2)- Four Saint Vincent women's swimmers have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Sarah Alexander,
Teresa Grimm,
Cecilia Hickin, and
Brook McDermott earned the award for Saint Vincent.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and must be a standout in the pool, competing in at least five competitions or finished top-eight at their conference championship meet.
Alexander earned second place results for SVC at the PAC Championship Meet in February, coming in the 400-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, and 800-yard freestyle relay as well.
Grimm finished second in the 400-yard freestyle relay as well earning All-PAC Second Team honors.
Hickin recorded a top-five finish for the Bearcats at the PAC Championship Meet as well. She finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke, racing a time of 1:02.98 for Saint Vincent.
McDermott finished eighth in the 500-yard freestyle, while earning a seventh place result in the 1650-yard freestyle for the Bearcats as well at the PAC Championships.
