LATROBE, Pa. (Feb. 5) – The Saint Vincent wrestling team delivered one of its most complete performances of the season Thursday night, shutting out Bethany College 50–0 in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Saint Vincent.
Saint Vincent controlled the dual from the opening bout and never let up, winning all 10 contested matches and adding an exhibition victory to cap a dominant night on the mat.
The Bearcats posted three falls, two technical falls, one major decision and multiple decision wins, showcasing depth and bonus-point production across the lineup.
The dual opened with
Dylan Klim setting the tone at 125 pounds, earning a 6–3 decision over Harrison Spadoni to put SVC on the board.
Logan Connolly followed with a statement performance at 133, rolling to a 15–0 technical fall over Avan Rosado, before
Tyler Debnar collected a forfeit win at 141 to extend the early momentum.
Saint Vincent continued to pile on points in the middle weights, as
Anthony Orlandini dominated at 149 with a 24–9 technical fall over Jeremiah Stalling, and
Ryan Yocum added another forfeit victory at 157. At 165,
Connor Bauerline electrified the crowd with a first-period fall in just 55 seconds over Malaki Smith.
The Bearcats kept the pressure on in the upper weights, with
Chase Brandebura needing just 18 seconds to pin Jonathan Braun at 174 pounds and
Nathan Barkley following with another quick fall at 184, securing a pin in 1:00.
Saint Vincent closed out the team scoring as
Chase Stuchal earned a 9–4 decision at 197 and
Jonah McCoy capped the dual with a 9–0 major decision at heavyweight.
In the exhibition bout at 174 pounds,
Judson Dean added to the Bearcats' dominant night with a 14–0 major decision over Antonio Christian, highlighting Saint Vincent's depth throughout the lineup.
Prior to the match, Saint Vincent honored their three seniors,
Ryan Weinzen,
Christo Marion, and
Michael Miller.
Saint Vincent will now take the next week to prepare for the 2026 Presidents Athletic Conference Championship Tournament on Saturday, February 14 at Hiram College.
