INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 18)- Saint Vincent senior men's swimmer
Jacob Dzurica earned All-American honors in the 50-yard freestyle for the second consecutive season at the NCAA National Championship Meet.
Dzurica placed fourth in the country in the 50-yard freestyle event. He swam a time of 19.79 seconds in route to his fourth place finish, which qualified him to become an All-American. Dzurica improved from his 8th place finish last season in the event where he swam a time of 20.08 to earn All-American honors.
The senior already had an impressive day after the prelims. Dzurica swam a time of 19.73 to finish in fourth and earn his spot in the finals.
Dzurica becomes the first two-time All-American in program history. Last season, he joined Jacob Davis and Zach Baum as the only swimmers in program history to earn All-American honors.
Dzurica will compete in two more events at the championship, competing in the 100-yard backstroke on Friday, March 20 and the 100-yard freestyle to conclude the championships on Saturday, March 21.
