TRAFFORD, Pa. (May 12)- Five Saint Vincent men's tennis players were named to the Presidents Athletic Conference All-Conference team's announced by the conference earlier today.
Junior
Braden Yokopenic earned First Team All-PAC honors in singles, while he also picked up Second Team All-PAC honors in the number one doubles spot with teammate
Blaise Bukovac.
Brady Johnson earned Second Team All-PAC honors at number four singles, while
Matthew Sadusky (#3 singles) and
Kyle Murray (#6 singles) both picked up Honorable Mention All-PAC honors in singles as well.
Yokopenic went 9-4 in singles play over the course of the season, including a 5-2 record in PAC play. He went 6-0 in the number one spot, 2-0 at number two, and 1-0 at number three singles for SVC. Yokpenic and Bukovac went 9-5 together in the top doubles spot for the Bearcats, including ending the season on a two match win streak.
Johnson led the Bearcats with 16 wins in singles, while he went 4-2 in conference play. Johnson went a perfect 6-0 in the number four singles spot, while going 3-1 at number two, 5-1 at number three, and 2-1 in the number five singles spot for the Bearcats during the year.
Sadusky went 14-5 for the Bearcats, including a 4-2 record in PAC play. He went 4-1 in the top singles spot, while going 3-1 at number two, and 7-3 at number three singles.
Murray played half of the season for the Bearcats after recovering from a serious injury that he sustained in the fall. The senior closed his career out with a 3-2 overall record, including a 2-1 record in PAC play. He went 2-2 in the number six singles spot and 1-0 at number five singles for SVC as well.
