LATROBE, Pa. (May 21)- Thirty-eight Saint Vincent College student-athletes have been recognized for academic achievement with induction into the Chi Alpha Sigma national honor society.
Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes undergraduate college student-athletes who participate in a sport at the varsity intercollegiate level, achieve junior academic standing or higher, and earn a 3.40 or higher cumulative grade point average. The GPA average for the inducted class was an impressive 3.78. The Saint Vincent Athletic Department held a ceremony to honor the recipients last month.

Chi Alpha Sigma was founded in 1996 by then DePauw University football coach Nick Mourouzis. Chi Alpha Sigma continues to provide outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime.
There are more than 317 Chi Alpha Sigma chapters across the country, including institutions of all three NCAA classifications, as well as the NAIA, National Christian College Athletic Association and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
