The Bearcats started strong and never looked back, rolling to a 79-47 win over visiting Westminster College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup.

The Bearcats improved their record to 13-5 and more importantly 6-3 in the conference.  With the win, the Bearcats maintained their third place standing in the conference, holding the tie-breaker with Thomas More College.

Saint Vincent and Westminster struggled in the early minutes of the first half as turnovers and missed opportunities were the biggest problems for both offenses.

Seven minutes into the game, the Bearcats went on an 8-0 run led by Dennis Bassich who knocked down a deep three and made an athletic move to the hoop to score the first five points of the run.

After the Bearcats built a comfortable nine point lead with seven minutes left to play in the first (19-10), they never looked back as the nine point deficit was as close at the Titans would get from that point on.

Westminster scored what appeared would be the last points of the first half with three seconds left to play, but junior guard Chris Klimchock had other ideas as he banked home a shot from just inside the half court line as time expired, and the Bearcats took a 33-20 lead into the break.

Saint Vincent opened the second half on a 13-2 run to progress their lead to 21 points (44-23).  The run displayed the quickness and agility of Klimchock as he scored four points of his 12 in less than 15 seconds by eluding defenders and taking the ball strong to the hoop.

The Bearcats yet again rattled of a 7-0 run to extend the lead to 23 (51-28) with 14 minutes left to play.  During the run, game-high scorer Dillion Stith (13) made the Carey Center erupt when he faked a shot from the corner and drove to the rim and put down a thundering dunk.

Although the Bearcats made quick work of Westminster, the story of the night was freshman forward Sean Kett, who scored six points in the second half that propelled him to his career high of 10.  Kett also grabbed three rebounds and added two assists late in the game.

Fellow freshman Ralph Nin grabbed a game-high six rebounds and senior guard Tauvon Pettiford crashed the boards five times.

The Bearcats ended the game on a 6-0 run and won by a final score of 70-47.

NOTES....Klimchock had a game-high 6 assists....Nin blocked 2 shots...Adam Carswell led the Titans with 12 points and 3 blocked shots.
