FULL RESULTS
The Saint Vincent swimming teams opened the 2012 season by competing in the Westminster Relays in New Wilmington.
The women's team finished fourth among six teams, while the men were fourth out of five.
SVC opened the day with a win in the 3x100 women's Butterfly Relay.
Katie Custer,
Alyssa Taylor and
Sarah Robbins teamed to take first in 3:05.38.
The Bearcat men later recorded a third place finish in the 500 Free Relay, with the all-freshmen team of
Nick Patton,
Darren Anderton,
Allen Sant and
Matt Crum timed in 4:40.00.
In the women's 400 Medley Relay, SVC captured third with the team of
Caitlin Dempsey, Alexis Milinsky,
Christina Webster and
Paige Pecora, with a time of 4:37.05.
SVC was a strong third behind a pair of Division II schools (Edinboro and Gannon) in the 200 Free Relay, as Robbins,
Allison Friery,
Alexis Ferraco and Custer were timed in 1:42.47.
The men then put in a solid performance in the same event, finishing second to Gannon in 1:30.87.
Zach Ligus, Crum,
Matt Linebaugh and
Casey Whittaker competed for the Bearcats.
In the 400 Free Relay, Ferraco, Friery, Robbins and Custer once again finished a strong third behind their counterparts from Edinboro and Gannon, with a time of 3:46.57.
The men also had a strong performance in the 400 Free Relay, taking third with the team of Linebaugh,
Andy Moog, Sant and Crum (3:28.46).
Both teams are back in action next Saturday, October 3, hosting Grove City at 1PM.
