The Saint Vincent men's basketball defeated Geneva in the Carey Center by a final score of 76-56.

Geneva got out to a three point lead, 11-8, just under five minutes into the game on lay-up from Lambros Svingos. Armani Fountain answered back with a baseline jumper to cut the deficit to one before Dillon Stith hit a three pointer to put the Bearcats up 13-11 with 13:48 remaining in the first half.

After a bucket by Sean Kett made the score 17-11, Drew Santasiero hit a three to bring Geneva back to within three.  However, that was as close as Geneva got the rest of the way. Saint Vincent promptly went on an 11-0 run over the next two minutes, capped off by a basket from Kett to put Saint Vincent ahead 28-17 with just over nine minutes left.

Stith put the hosts further ahead, 40-26, with a three pointer with just over a minute left in the first half. Both teams hit free throws in the last minute and Saint Vincent led 41-28 at the break.

The Bearcats came out quick in the second half. Chris Klimchock scored the first five points of the second half to grow the Bearcats' lead to 46-28. Klimchock scored again just over three minutes into the half to extend the lead to 16 points, 48-32.

Saint Vincent continued to add to their lead and led by as many as 22 points when Tauvon Pettiford scored with 8:17 to go in the game, putting the Bearcats up 68-46.

Geneva was able to cut the lead down to 19 on a bucket from Svingos with 4:16 remaining. That was as close as the Golden Tornadoes got, though, as Ralph Nin closed the game's scoring with :29 left, sealing the 76-56 win.

Geneva's Matt Lorello led all scorers with 16 points. Svingos and Keynon Jackson joined him in double figures with 13 and 15 points, respectively.

Four Bearcats scored in double figures, led by Denny Bassich's 15 points, including three-of-six from downtown. Klimchock and Stith added 12 and 14 points respectively.  Kett provided a spark off the bench, contributing 13 points and six rebounds in 18 minutes.

With the win, Saint Vincent improves 18-5 on the season, 11-3 in the PAC. Geneva drops to 5-17, 4-10 in the PAC with the loss.
