Bearcats remain perfect in PAC

BOX SCORE

In their first match in over a week, the Saint Vincent men's tennis team defeated the Thomas More Saints 9-0.  It was the third PAC opponent of the year that the Bearcats shut out, and the win raised their conference record to 4-0.

Saint Vincent has won six matches in a row since returning from Florida.

At second singles Anthony Nemanic won by forfeit - hi opponent was injured and withdrew.  The next player to finish was fifth singles stalwart Chris Andrejcik who racked up a 6-0, 6-0 win.  Dan Chirdon and Sean Malone also finished their singles matches without losing a game.

Nick Latterner barely missed matching his teammates' double bagels by winning 6-0, 6-2.

The tightest match of the day was at first singles where Tony Costantino survived by capturing a 10-6 tiebreak that served as a third set.

The Bearcats (7-2) look to continue their excellent run on Monday against conference opponent Thiel.  On Tuesday Saint Vincent plays its third match in four days against Washington & Jefferson at the Greensburg Racquet Club.
