LATROBE (Aug 30.) - Head coach Bob Colbert has announced that four players were named team captains for the 2012 season in a vote of the players at the end of camp.

Seniors Ricky Douglas (Wide Receiver), Carl Jeune (Wide Receiver) and Jovaughn Johnson (Linebacker) and junior Darius McGhee (Offensive Line) earned the team honor and will serve as the Bearcats' captains throughout the 2012 campaign.

The Bearcats kick off the 2012 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Chuck Noll Field with a 1 p.m. contest against Bridgewater (Va.). Last season in Virginia, SVC lost a 20-17 decision in overtime to the Eagles.
