BOX SCORE

The Bearcats closed out their non-conference, regular season schedule with an 86-56 victory over the Penn State-Fayette Roaring Lions at the Eberly Campus.
Â
Saint Vincent trailed PSU-Fayette by a score of 3-2 just 39 seconds into regulation, but that was the last time the Bearcats were not on top for the rest of the night.Â
Â
Senior forward
Dillon Stith scored the first six points for the Bearcats as they opened the game on a 13-3 run that was highlighted by an up-and-under one handed slam from the Bedford, Virginia native.Â
Â
PSU-Fayette retaliated with a small 6-2 run of their own to pull to within four (15-11), but the Bearcats perimeter game was too strong for the Roaring Lions to handle.Â
Â
Saint Vincent shot 6-11 (54.5%) from downtown in the first half alone. Senior guard
Isaac Turner made three treys while sophomore guards
JC Howard,
Kyle Rivera, and
Geoff FuQuay each contributed a three. FuQuay's three-pointer notched the transfer's first career points as a Bearcat in just his first shot attempt. Â
Â
Nine Bearcats scored in the first half as Saint Vincent took a 50-26 lead into the break. Turner and Stith combined for half of Bearcat scoring in the first half (13,12 respectively).
Â
The second half of play was much closer as the Bearcats only outscored the Roaring Lions by six points.
Â
Again, the Bearcats were led by strong perimeter shooting as they went 50% from beyond the arc (5-10) courtesy of two conversions from sophomore guard
Pat Jones, as well as one apiece for Turner, Howard, and FuQuay.
Â
Perhaps the highlight of the second half was a two-on-one fast break that resulted in a one-handed slam by junior forward
Sean Kett.
Â
For the Roaring Lions, only five players were available for action in the contest. They were led in scoring by Jacob Bronder, who contributed 24 points. Derek Jones added 15 points, shooting a perfect 5-5 from beyond the arc. Dierre Jenkins and CJ Gaddis both notched 7 points, while Sean Smoggie tallied three.Â
Â
The Bearcats improve their record to 9-2 on the season, while the Roaring Lions fall to 4-8 overall.
Â
Saint Vincent returns to actions Saturday afternoon in the Carey Center against conference foe, Grove City College.
