The Saint Vincent men's tennis team took to the courts at the Greensburg Racquet Club against the Penn State-Altoona Lions and came away with a 8-1 non-conference win.

Saint Vincent struck first as the third doubles team of
Dalton Yezovich and
Zach Fox started the match with an 8-2 victory. The first doubles pairing of
Jonathan Prichard and
Ryan Hartz and the second doubles pairing of
Scott Reichard and
Jon Oskin also claimed victories, winning 8-5 and 8-4, respectively.

Prichard extended the Bearcats' lead, as he claimed a 6-0, 6-1 victory at second singles. Oskin clinched the match for Saint Vincent with a straight sets 6-4, 6-4 win at first singles. The Bearcats also won in straight sets at sixth singles and fifth singles, 6-1, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-3. Saint Vincent also claimed the third singles point in marathon tie-breakers.

The win puts Saint Vincent's record at 2-0 on the year. The Bearcats will return to the courts on March 6, when they take on St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Florida.
