Saint Vincent sophomore
Jessica Guesman has been named Player of the Week in women's bowling by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference for the week ending February 23.
Guesman, from Warren, Ohio (Howland HS) set a pair of school records on Saturday, leading SVC to a sweep on the road at Pitt-Bradford. Her 279 was the highest single game in the history of the third-year program, and her two-game total of 469 was also a school record.
The Bearcats as a team set school records for a two-game traditional total. The team averaged over 180 for the afternoon with Guesman posting a 22.2 average overall, including Baker frames, the equivalent of a 222 average for the day.
Saint Vincent has the highest winning percentage in the entire NCAA, with a record of 43-5, and is in first place in the AMCC standings (9-0). The team will return to action on Saturday, March 7 in the second round of the AMCC Conference tournament.
