DANBURY, Conn. (Nov. 7) – The Saint Vincent College women's volleyball team has been selected to compete in the 2022 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship Tournament, scheduled Nov. 12-13 at New Jersey City University.
 
The Bearcats, seeded No. 7, will take on Cabrini University at 2 p.m. Saturday in the quarterfinals of the single-elimination tournament. The winner will face the winner of the quarterfinal match between No. 3 Grove City College and No. 6 Penn State-Behrend on Sunday at noon, while the championship match is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m.  
 
Saint Vincent, which closed the regular season with a 17-7 overall record, will be making its first appearance in the ECAC postseason since 2011, when it advanced to the championship match. This will be Saint Vincent's sixth ECAC berth all-time, as the Bearcats won the ECAC Division II title in both 2006 and 2007.
 
Cabrini University, located in Radnor, Pennsylvania, enters the ECAC tourney with a 20-12 overall record. The Cavaliers were defeated in Saturday's Atlantic East Conference championship match by Marymount University. Saturday's ECAC match will mark the first ever volleyball meeting between the Bearcats and Cavaliers.
