PITTSBURGH, Pa. (March 23) - The top-seeded Saint Vincent College women's bowling team earned a 2-0 victory over No. 5 New Jersey City University on the opening day of the 2023 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Women's Bowling Championship Tournament.
Using the mega-match format, SVC won its first point after topping New Jersey City in a traditional game, coming back from an early deficit to post a close 873-865 win.
Olivia Emmonds led the way with a 230, while
Monique Koehler turned in a score of 209 and
Jackie Koehler 160.Â
The Bearcats then earned the decisive second point through a five-game Baker team game total, with an 878-846 victory.
Saint Vincent will now take on No. 2 Medaille College, the AMCC's five-time defending champion, in another mega match in the third round on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.Â
