Up next were 16 Baker team games, broken into four 4-game blocks. SVC topped the 200 mark in just twice in the first four games, while the Bears averaged 235 during the same span, opening a 165-pin lead that proved to be too much to overcome. SVC shot a 261 in game 8, then a 246 in game 12, but found themselves 177 pins out of first with just four games to go. Thanks to games of 246, 202, 212 and 220, the Bearcats cut the margin by more than 100 pins, but fell short of first place.
The Bearcats will head back to Ohio on Saturday, January 20 for the fourth Ohio Bowling Conference event of the season. The tournament will take place at The Palace.
