LATROBE, Pa. (Nov. 13)- The Saint Vincent women's volleyball team earned the number two seed in the PAC Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament and will host the third seeded Chatham Cougars on Thursday night in the Robert S. Carey Center.
The Bearcats earned a first round bye into Thursday's PAC semifinals after finishing the regular season with a 14-11 overall record and impressive 8-2 record in Presidents' Athletic Conference play. SVC's eight PAC wins this season are the most they've had since the 2019 campaign when they finished 10-6 in conference play.
Saint Vincent will be hosting their second playoff match in the last three years when Chatham comes to town on Thursday night.
SVC and Chatham met just two weeks ago in the Carey Center, which ended with an impressive 3-1 for the Bearcats. After falling in the first set in that match, Saint Vincent came back to win the next three sets by scores of 27-25, 25-23, and 25-22 to win the match.
It is currently "No Charge November" for Bearcat sports, so there will be no fee for entry into the semifinal match on Thursday night. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., please come out to support and cheer on the women's volleyball team!
