GAMBIER, Ohio (Feb. 24) – The Saint Vincent College men's and women's swimming teams saw a host of swimmers post season-best times at the Kenyon College Fast Chance Invitational.
The
Bearcat women were represented at the Kenyon event, which boasted some of the top Division II and III squads in the region, by sophomore
Emma Martz and junior
Abby Leskovansky.
Martz competed in the 100 butterfly, and achieved a new season-best time of 1:00.55.
In the 200 individual medley,
Leskovansky also swam to season-best, posting a mark of 2:19.84.
Sophomore standout
Jacob Dzurica had the strongest showing for the SVC men.
Dzurica placed third in a loaded 27-man field in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.62 seconds. He would then add a fourth-place finish in a 24-swimmer field in the 400 freestyle, finishing in 46.23 seconds.
Sophomore
Alex Leskovansky joined
Dzurica in the 50 free, posting a time of 22.46 seconds, before competing in the 100 butterfly and finishing in 52.89 seconds, a season-best.
Competing in the 400 IM, freshman
Liam Randolph placed fourth in a career-best time of 4:25.11.
