Competing in North Brunswick, New Jersey, the Saint Vincent women's bowling team went 9-1 in the second Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference round robin tournament of the season, earning the #1 seed in the conference championships.

SVC, with a season record of 50-10, is 18-2 in AMCC matches. William Smith College is also 18-2, but the Bearcats hold the tiebreaker advantage thanks to a 2-0 record against the Herons this season.

DAY ONE
Two matches were contested on the first day of the event, with the Bearcats earning wins over Penn State-Behrend and Mount Aloysius. SVC got off to a slow start, trailing Behrend by 20 pins after four frames in game one. A triple by
Sabine Strickland, along with doubles by
Jackie Koehler and
Abby Justice closed the gap, and by the end of the game Saint Vincent pulled away to a 113-pin victory, 859-746. Koehler's 196 was the top score, while Strickland finished with a 187.
In game two, the Bearcats started quickly with
Daphne Stuber and Koehler each throwing three consecutive strikes and SVC opened a 100-pin lead midway through the game. The team ended with a team score of 951 (190.2 average), the highest among all teams on the afternoon. Three Bearcats reached the 200 mark – Koehler (206),

DAY TWO
The second day of the tournament started with what would prove to be the key match of the weekend, as SVC faced William Smith. The Bearcats claimed the lead in the second frame, but by mid-game, Saint Vincent was down by 50 pins. After cutting into the margin, the Bearcats saved their best for last, as
Monique Koehler threw strikes in frames 9-10, Nicholls threw strikes on all three shots in the 10th
 as did Strickland, lifting SVC to an 880-840 win.

In game two, Alvernia University overcame a late-game deficit to defeat the Bearcats 842-829. Stuber had the high game, with a 200.

Up next was a matchup with La Roche, and Strickland's 195 topped the scoresheet as SVC won 867-516. In game four, Nicholls started with 5 strikes, threw a spare, then added three more strikes en route to a 253 game, as SVC defeated Pitt-Greensburg by a score of 944-659. Strickland added a 193, and
Rachael Babinsack shot a 180. The team ended the day with a 797-742 win over Hilbert College.

DAY THREE
SVC closed the weekend with 3 wins over host New Jersey City University, Pitt-Bradford, and Penn State-Altoona.Â
Against NJCU, Nicholls (206) and
Abby Justice (194) had the top scores as SVC won 879-740. In the Bradford match, the duo again led the way, with Nicholls shooting a 233 which featured 7 consecutive strikes, while Justice added a 221 with six strikes. Strickland (213), Justice (196) and
Marissa Jones (179) had the top scores in the final match of the weekend, an 831-796 win over Altoona.

Individually, Nicholls led the team for the weekend with an average of 190.8, followed by Strickland (181.0), Justice (177.2),
Jackie Koehler (175.8) and Jones (167.2). As a team, the Bearcats averaged 175 for the weekend, slightly below their season average of 177.

Saint Vincent returns home for a head-to-head matchup with Daemen University on Friday evening at 7:00, followed by the Br. Pat Lacey Memorial Tournament, honoring the former Saint Vincent coach, on Saturday at 10AM. Both events will be held at Lincoln Lanes in Latrobe.
