LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 7) – Thirteen members of the Saint Vincent College softball team have been named All-America Scholar-Athletes by Easton and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
The Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award recognizes softball student-athletes who maintain a grade point average of 3.50 or higher for the duration of the 2023-24 academic year.
The 2023-24 Saint Vincent College honorees include:
- Senior psychology major Haley Bicko (Johnstown, Pa./Greater Johnstown)
- Sophomore early childhood education (K-4) major Jackie Brace (Moon Twp., Pa./Moon Area)
- Junior biology major Meghan Braun (Waynesburg, Pa./Waynesburg Central)
- Senior management major Shelby Dobrzynski (Claysville, Pa./McGuffey)
- Freshman health science major April Earnest (Spring Church, Pa./Apollo-Ridge)
- Freshman nursing major Mackenzie Favero (Apollo, Pa./Kiski Area)
- Freshman business data analytics major Alyssa Henderson (Pleasantville, Pa./Chestnut Ridge)
- Sophomore early childhood education (K-4) major Nicolette Kloes (Houston, Pa./Chartiers-Houston)
- Freshman early childhood education (K-4) major Kendall McConnell (Munhall, Pa./Steel Valley)
- Sophomore early childhood education (K-4) major Kiley Meek (Holbrook, Pa./West Greene)
- Freshman engineering major Shayna Perigo (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills)
- Senior mathematics, data science and computer science triple major Olivia Persin (Greensburg Pa./Hempfield)
- Sophomore engineering major Lily Rush (Waynesburg, Pa./Waynesburg Central)
Bicko and Persin have now been named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for four consecutive seasons, while Brace, Braun, Dobrzynski, Kloes and Rush are now repeat selections.
