BRADFORD, Pa. (Nov. 13)- The Saint Vincent wrestling team breezed past Pitt-Bradford for a 47-6 win in a non-conference dual on Thursday night.
The Bearcats (1-1) won 9 of the 10 weight classes on the night to cruise to the victory. Five of those nine wins came by fall.
To open the night,
Dylan Klim earned a 13-10 decision in the 125 lbs. weight class to put SVC up 3-0.
Logan Connolly followed with a 20-5 technical fall victory at 133 lbs. to increase the Saint Vincent lead to 8-0.
Brett Klim followed with a forfeit victory at 141 lbs. and
Ryan Yocum earned the Bearcats first pin of the night at 4:04 to move the lead to 25-0.
The shutout continued with
Logan Bechtold earning a 20-6 major decision at 151 lbs. (29-0).
Chase Brandebura followed with Saint Vincent's first of three consecutive victories by fall, this one at 58 seconds to push the lead to 35-0.Â
After falling at 184 lbs.,
Chase Stuchal picked up a fall at 2:36 in the 197 lbs. weight class and
Jonah McCoy earned a fall at 18 seconds to finish the match with the Bearcats victory.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Sunday, November 16 as they travel to the Shenandoah Invitational. The invitational is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.
