TRAFFORD, Pa. (Nov. 17)- The Saint Vincent College wrestling team swept the weekly Presidents Athletic Conference awards.
Sophomore
Anthony Orlandini was named the PAC's Wrestler of the Week, while freshman
Logan Connolly was named the PAC's Newcomer of the Week as well.
Orlandini picked up a first place finish in the 149 lbs. weight class at the Shenandoah Invitational. Orlandini opened with a technical fall (19-4) in the first round. He followed with a fall (1:03) and earned a forfeit to head into the semifinals. In the semi's, he won by major decision (16-6), before earning a decision (12-6) in the first place match to win the weight class.
Connolly picked up a first place result for the Bearcats in the 133 lbs. weight class at the Shenandoah Invitational as well. The freshman opened up with a major decision (13-3) over Heath Burks of Shenandoah. After a bye, he earned a technical fall (16-0), decision (12-5), and another decision victory (8-3) in the championship to win the weight class.
