YORK, Pa. (Nov. 1)- The Saint Vincent women's swim team competed at the two day York College Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday,
Rachel Hutchinson picked up the Bearcats first victory of the weekend with a first place finish in the 500-yard freestyle. Hutchinson swam a time of 5:28.46 for SVC. She also won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:00.90 and 1650-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 18:42.81 for Saint Vincent.
Adrianna Grimm won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.85 seconds for the Bearcats. She also finished second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:20.06).
Fallyn Zembiec added a win in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming a time of 2:16.72 for SVC and 100-yard backstroke (1:03.31) as well. She also teamed up with
Emma Martz, Valerie Clabuagh, and
Adrianna Grimm to win the 200-yard medley relay.
Martz won the 200-yard butterfly (2:18.83), 100-yard butterfly (1:03.44), and finished second in the 200-yard IM (2:18.47).
Deanna Miller added a victory in the 200-yard backstroke (2:36.81) and
Cecilia Hickin finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.26 seconds.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, November 7 with a PAC meet at Grove City. The meet is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday night.
