BEREA, Ohio (Nov. 22)- The Saint Vincent wrestling team placed seventh in the 13 team field at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational on Saturday in Berea.
Five Bearcats recorded podium finishes at the invitational.
Anthony Orlandini and
Jonah McCoy were Saint Vincent's top finishers, placing fourth in the 149 lbs. weight class and heavyweight weight class.
Orlandini went 3-2 for Saint Vincent in route to his fourth place result in 149 lbs. McCoy placed fourth in the heavyweight division, adding two wins in route to his fourth place result.
Logan Connolly and
Ryan Weinzen both added fifth place finishes for the Bearcats. Connolly secured four wins for Saint Vincent in the 133 lbs. weight class. In Weinzen's first tournament of the season he also picked up four wins in five matches.
Owen Caracciolo was the fifth Bearcat to place, recording a seventh place finish, also coming in the 133 lbs. weight class. Caracciolo went 4-2 for Saint Vincent over the course of the tournament.
Saint Vincent returns to action on Friday, December 5 competing in the Messiah University Invitational. The two-day tournament is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. in Grantham, Pa.
