TRAFFORD, Pa. (Nov. 4)- The Saint Vincent women's basketball team was picked fourth in the Presidents Athletic Conference South Division pre-season poll released by the conference this afternoon.

Picked to win the south division was reigning PAC champs W&J, while Chatham (second) and Bethany (third) rounded out the top three on the south division side.

Additionally, Camdon Bashor, Reese Gadsby, Makenna Maier, and Danielle Pontius were all named to the players to watch list. 

Maier was named to the All-PAC Second Team last season, averaging over 10 points per game and eight rebounds per game for Saint Vincent. Bashor also averaged 10 points per game, while grabbing five rebounds per game as well last season.

Pontius added five points per game and 12 total steals while Gadsby averaged eight points per game and four rebounds per game for SVC.

The Bearcats are led by first year Head Coach Kam Gissendanner who was hired by Saint Vincent in August, replacing long time Head Coach Jimmy Petruska.

Last season, SVC finished 13-13 overall, including a 12-8 mark in conference, qualifying for the PAC playoffs.

Saint Vincent opens their season on Friday, November 7 as they travel to compete in the Messiah Tip-Off Tournament. They take on Nazareth in the opening round on Friday at 5 p.m.
