NEW WILMINGTON, Pa./LEWISBURG, Pa. (Apr. 12)- The Saint Vincent women's track and field team competed at Westminster and Bucknell on Saturday.
At Bucknell, the Bearcats dominated in the 1500-meter race.
Miranda Cincotta broke the Saint Vincent school record in the event, running a lifetime best time of 4:44.19 to finish ninth in the field of 85.
Grace Neubert also broke the Saint Vincent school record in the 10K, running a time of 37:55.47 for the Bearcats.
Lily Murphy also ran a lifetime best in the same race, placing 25th with a time of 4:48.31 for Saint Vincent. Murphy's time is good enough to qualify her for regionals.
Cassy Lanza also ran a lifetime best time of 4:54.97 for the Bearcats.Â
The Bearcats also had a good day at Westminster.
Samantha Straub broke another school record for the Bearcats, this one in the 400-meter hurdles. She raced a school record time of 1:09.45 to finish in eighth place overall. She also placed eighth in the triple jump with an impressive mark of 10.54m.
In the 100-meter hurdles,
Kiersten Auman set a PR time of 18.36 seconds and also a PR time of 29.79 seconds in the 200-meter dash. SVC set a couple PR's in the 1500-meter race as well.
Emma Hyder raced a PR time of 6:09.99, while
Isabella Snyder raced a time of 5:13.75 for Saint Vincent.
The Bearcats 4x100 relay team set the school record in the event with a time of 52.01 seconds to finish fourth overall.
Amanda Kane,
Caroline Kozera,
Samantha Straub, and
Gabrielle Dove ran in the event for the Bearcats.
Kane also raced a PR time of 13.49 seconds in the 100-meter dash and a time of 27.97 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
Cadence Smith added a personal best for Saint Vincent in the 400-meter hurdles. She raced a time of 1:15.75 in the event, while she also raced a PR time of 27.97 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
The Bearcats will next compete in the Grove City Mini Meet on Wednesday, April 16.
