Ramos, Jackson recognized at PAC Scholar-Athlete Banquet

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (May 14) – Recently graduated Saint Vincent College student-athletes Stacie Ramos (Chula Vista, Calif./Olympian) and Aiden Jackson (Carroll, Ohio/William V. Fisher) were honored at the annual Presidents' Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Banquet, held at The Fez in Alipuippa, Pa.
 
Each of the 11 full-time PAC institutions, its one football affiliate member and one soon to be full-time member of the PAC were represented at the event by some of their most distinguished student-athletes. Established in 2014, the Scholar-Athlete Banquet honors the conference's student-athletes for their excellence in the classroom, athletic achievement and community service efforts.
 
Ramos was a standout Libero on the Bearcats women's volleyball team for four years. Stacie played in 94 matches during her four-year career, amassing 1,534 digs and recording 211 assists and 97 service aces. Ramos earned First Team All-PAC honors for the first time in her Saint Vincent career this past season. She was also a multi-time winner of the PAC Defensive Player of the Week award as well.
 
Off the volleyball court, Ramos was a standout in the classroom as well. She earned CSC Academic All-District honors three different times at Saint Vincent. Recently, she earned the Saint Vincent College Athletic Department's Kristen Zawacki Award, which honors an excellent student athlete who demonstrated service to the Saint Vincent College community. Ramos was an active member of the Saint Vincent community during her four years as well. She was a member of the Women in Business board, International Business Honor Society, Delta Mu Delta, and Alpha Lambda Delta as well.

Ramos graduated from Saint Vincent this past weekend with degrees in Marketing and Digital Arts and Media with a concentration in Graphic Design. Stacie plans to stay in Pittsburgh for a couple of years, before moving back to California to begin her career.

Jackson graduated from Saint Vincent this past weekend with a degree in Business Management. Aiden has been a staple for the Bearcats cross country and track and field program's over his four years at Saint Vincent. Jackson earned Second Team All-PAC honors twice, while earning Honorable Mention All-PAC honors twice in cross country. Aiden is a multi-time regional qualifier in both track and cross country as well.

This past season, Jackson recorded a top-11 finish at the PAC Cross Country Championships, finishing in 11th place, racing a time of 26:39 for the Bearcats.

Jackson was just as strong in the classroom as is a multi-time PAC Academic Honor Roll member and has been on the Dean's List for the last seven semesters of his college career. Aiden is very involved on campus as well. He is a theology tutor, legion leader, and member of the men's ministry. He is also heavily involved in campus ministry, the Knights of Columbus, Data Analytics Club, and Ultimate Frisbee Club as well.
