TRAFFORD, Pa. (Aug. 22)- The Saint Vincent women's tennis team was picked fifth in the Presidents Athletic Conference pre-season poll, released by the conference earlier today.

Veteran Head Coach Jym Walters returns to the helm of the program to attempt to lead the Bearcats to another PAC playoff berth. Last season, SVC won a program record 18 games, going 18-4 overall, earning the number three seed in the PAC Tournament.

Additionally, five Bearcats were named to the Players to Watch list, led by senior and reigning PAC Player of the Year Carolina Walters. Along with Walters, seniors Emily Pierce and Caroline O'Connor, junior Rachel Zgurich, and sophomore Sydney McWreath were all named to the list as well.

The Bearcats will open the season on Tuesday, September 2, hosting cross-town rival Pitt-Greensburg in a non-conference match. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. at the SVC Courts.
