YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio/State College, Pa. (Jan. 31)- The Saint Vincent women's indoor track and field team competed at the Youngstown State Mid-Major, while sophomore
Grace Neubert ran at the Penn State National Open.
At Penn State, Neubert set the program record in the 3,000-meter run. She raced a record breaking time of 9:58.92 for the Bearcats, becoming the first runner in program history to run under 10 minutes in the event.
Four Bearcats also ran personal best times at Youngstown State as well.
Tiara Curry (8.67) in the 60-meter dash,
Brecia Bentley (28.65) in the 200-meter dash,
Jane Huss (2:28.20) in the 800-meter, and
Lauren Schemmel (19:33.81) in the 5000-meter race all ran personal best times.
Curry (29.10) and Bentley (1:05.04) also ran personal best times in the 200-meter race and 400-meter race respectively for Saint Vincent.
The Bearcats return to action on Friday, February 13 competing in both the Boston University Valentine Invitational and the Youngstown State Last Chance meet's.
